I am another one who is VERY glad to hear that this new dress could very well be historically accurate! The main reason that I didn't like it AT ALL, at first, was because it seemed SO out of time/out of place on Kirsten, and SO Mattel/Barbie-esque.
I saw it in person for the first time yesterday, and was starting to warm up to it, because it looked so much better in person, to me, than it had in pictures. But I still LONGED for some kind of historical link--like a short story book to go with it (accompanied by a historical section in the back to support it), or some pictures in "Kirsten's World" that happened to match. So the more evidence that you-all can find to match this outfit, the happier I know I will be, and I bet many others of us will be also.
AG/PC, if you're listening, PLEASE give us a short story book to explain this outfit!!!
